Stella in August

Wow, I cannot believe my little baby will be 18 months in a week and a half. The time really passes you by if you're not careful! The strange thing is, I feel like she is older than 18 months. She just seems so grown up and mature. I guess I don't know what age 2 is like though. She is such a joy and a blessing. She is so smart and hilarious. She has a crazy memory and remembers things days and weeks later! That blows my mind. Usually it's things she has only heard or read a couple times. Last night I read her the book Pajama Time. The last page goes like this
It's Pajama Time
Hush, Hush
It's Pajama Time
Hush, Hush
It's Pajama Time
After we read that and Llama Llama Red Pajama I was rocking her and she kept saying Jamma Time, Hush Hush! It was so cute, it doesn't sound exactly right. She loves Llama Llama by the way, but she can't say Llama so she calls him Baby Mama. Haha!
We went to Squire Boone Caverns a few weeks ago and that was a lot of fun! We also just had girls weekend at the lake with Grammie, Aunt LuAnn and Erin. That was a blast too!

I made her a cute hat and crocheted one for her doll too. I was hoping if the doll wore one I could convince Stella to wear hers too. No dice. The most she left it on was 2 minutes. Well, Pawpaw was coming over to see her and I told her he wanted to see her wearing her new hat. That still didn't work and she kept ripping it off. So, Pawpaw pulled up out front and we looked out the door and I asked who it was. She said Pawpaw, and then looked at me and said HAT! with urgency. It was so sweet and funny because she knew he wanted to see her in the hat and she didn't have it on.
She says a bizillion words now and does mostly 3 word sentences and some 4 word sentences. She can call the cats by their nick names. Fatty McGee and Mister Meow. Sounds like Fat Mcgebee and Misour Meow. So adorable. I have not been blogging all the stuff I would like to, I am going to try to start!

My little lady!

Stella is getting so big! I am so sad I don't have more time to blog. I really need to make time! She does so many things every day. The other night I was rocking her for bed and I don't remember why, but she laughed and rolled her eyes! She is doing pretty good eating regular food, we've been doing that for about a month or two. She refuses to eat ANY vegetables, I have tried everything! I have found two ways to get her to, making spinach nuggets & putting mustard on the veggies. She loves mustard, she gets that from me! She really likes things that are sour like lemons and pickles. She has also does something really cute when I play Words With Friends. If you shake the phone the letters rearrange, and make a bubbly sound, Stella will shake her head back and forth.

She still LOVES books, and she is saying quite a few words now. I am making up a list and will post it soon! She is so smart, she will get my keys and go to the door, she even knows which key goes to the door and puts it up to the handle. She is 15 months now, so its only been a month since she started walking, but she is a pro at it! She is even really good with stairs. She can do itsy bitsy spider hand motions when I sing the song. She has such a great personality, and she is so funny!

She loves books, her favorites are:

The Lion's Paw, Wherever You Are, On The Night You Were Born, Knuffle Bunny, Little Blue Truck, Time For Bed, Where The Wild Things Are

Knuffle Bunny is a really good book, it's so cute! There is a part in the book where the 2 year old is mad because she lost her bunny. So, Trixie (the girl in the book), is yelling at her daddy in toddler babble. She says, AGGLE PLAGGLE FLABBLE! Wumpy Flappy! Snurp! Everytime I read that part Stella says "Yea!". It's so cute and funny, like she totally agrees with Trixie. Ahh I love her so much!

Slides are Fun!

We walked to George Rogers Park a few nights ago and Stella got to go down some small slides. She loved it! She hasn't been too thrilled with the swings at the park lately, so I am glad she at least likes the slide! Got some good video of that.

She is saying more words and doing new stuff every day! She is very good at signing "more", and I am working on a few other signs too! She has done the sign for please a couple times, and she picked up on "all done" really quick too. I have a video of her signing more, will try to get it up soon. She had her first stomach virus last week, she was throwing up starting at 2 a.m. all the way til 11 a.m. the next day. She did a LOT of sleeping. Then Jack caught it, then Jeff, then me & mom. I will have to post more later, can't remember what else I wanted to write!

Wish I knew!

Stella is so awesome, she is babbling so much lately. Except she really means what she is saying, even though it's not English. She will also talk and point her finger with a really serious look on her face. I really want to know what she is saying! A couple nights ago she was in the bath tub and she started doing something with the water. She would put both hands under water and pull them out and look at them. Then she'd clap them together, she did that over and over. Almost like she was trying to pick the water up, but when she clapped them it was like she was trying to get the water off.... I have no clue, but I wish I did! She is so smart and inquisitive! She also has more teeth coming in next to the top two! Here is a shot from yesterday, she was being extra super sweet & adorable!

Yippie!

Stella is officially walking now! Yay! I am so proud, she even decided to do it in front of Grandma & Grandpa too! She is so thoughtful! :) Before, she had taken 3 steps by herself but never more than once. Last night she took 4 or 5 steps to me, and then did it at least 5 more times! I was too caught up in the moment to get video. It also sounded like she referred to me as "Mama" yesterday too, which was almost better than the walking!!! She is the most spectacular thing ever. We have also weaned from all the formula, and all bottles except for the bedtime bottle. That one is going to be a B*TCH! She is doing really well drinking the Vitamin D milk from her cups though! She is also doing good eating the "adult" food too. Mostly the Gerber Graduates meals. She still loves bananas, and she now loves mandarin oranges too! Except she calls them "Buh" (Banana) Here is a good picture of her new teeth!

Teeth!

Ok, so the teeth are on their way! She now has the top two in, about 1/4 of the way and now she is getting at least one more top one. At least it's not going to be 3 months in between the next ones like it was last time! Here are some pictures of my darling!

First Haircut!

Stella got her first haircut last night! She was super good as usual! They had the booster seat but it didn't strap her in. But she just sat there like an angel! :) She seemed to enjoy all the people getting haircuts, but that makes sense since she is so nosy!
