Stella Rose

Stella is getting so close to 1 year old! I am finally starting to work on the party plans. Stella still doesn't feel like walking. She seems so close, and she will walk just holding on with just one hand instead of two. Sometimes! lol She has been getting pickier about what she wants to eat, that is making me nervous! She used to eat anything I would let her! I am hoping it is just because she is getting some more teeth in. My mom and I are pretty sure she can say Gone, or All Gone. We both have heard her say something that sounds like it at the appropriate time. She LOVES her Fisher Price Kitchen she got for Christmas.

I can't remember if I blogged this, but she can say "tickle, tickle, tickle!" and she will do little tickling motions with her hands. She can also do Patty Cake all by herself. She does a quick version though! :) She has picked up a couple new words that Grammie has taught her. Down, for when she wants you to put her down. And Again, sounds a bit more like 'Gin though. She will say that usually about wanting to read a book again. She is saying Yea pretty good now, more and more new words every day! So spectacular!

Man o' Man!

My baby girl is astounding! The closer she gets to a year the more things she picks up! She is learning more words so quickly! I just found out a couple days ago that she can say "Cheese" when you take a picture. And no one tried to teach her that. She loves to say Go! She picked that up from the Cat In The Hat song. On Wednesday I got her a seat for the potty, and we tried that out. I put her on for 1o minutes and she did pee! I was so excited! I made a huge deal out of it, and let her flush the toilet. Then the next day, I put her on it and she peed right away! I was shocked! Maybe it was a coincidence. And whenever I say Go Potty she says Go.

She is starting to say Eat, which makes sense since that's one of her favorite things to do!

Oh, and we have not used a paci since Sunday night! 5 days! Yay! It hasn't been too bad. I wasn't actually planning on stopping her, but she lost it in the middle of the night and I couldn't find it. She went back to sleep without it, and then I forgot to take one to my mom's house the next day. So, we just didn't look back!

Just Braggin'

Just wanted to brag some more on my baby girl! I know every parent thinks their child is super smart, so add me to the list! She just picks up on things so quickly! I made a mobile for baby Hannah and it was a bunch of little birdies. It was hanging up in the dining room and Stella loved to look at it! Jeff held her up next to it and said Tweet, tweet, tweet. Later on, she was in the floor across the room and when you say Tweet, tweet, tweet she looks back over to where the birds are! I am going to get the potty training seat soon and try to get her started figuring that out! What difference does it make if she can walk or not!! :) She also listens pretty good when you tell her no. The only downside to that, is that she is learning to say no herself! And whenever she picks up something bad and eats it, all I have to do is say "Spit it out!" and she does! I LOVE her!

I have the most amazing 10 Month Old!

Stella is 10 months old today! She just amazes me more every single day! She is starting to pick up on words! She is so good at saying Bye-Bye & waving. But she is not getting Hi much yet! She says something similar to dog, but she mostly says it for every animal! Gog-dog-gog sounds. And she loves to pick things up and "talk" on them like they're phones. So, if I say, "Say Hello!" she picks up whatever she has, a remote, a phone, a shoe, and puts it up to her ear. She doesn't say hello, but she makes a sound like Haa. So that is pretty close!

She also loves to take baths! She has some bath books & toys and she loves her rubber duckies! We have 4 or 5 now! So, a few nights ago she wanted to play with the lever that lets the water out of the bathtub. I told her no, because I didn't want her to try to play with it all the time. But then I decided she could do it before I got her out of the tub. Then the next night, I got the towel and said ok let's get out. That little genius, all on her own, pushed the lever down to let the water out! I was like, WOW! But I thought maybe it was a coincidence. Then last night I got the towel and said let's get out, and she did it again all on her own! :)
