Oops!

Stella is so sweet. She has a little lamb that I made for her when she was a baby. Jeff was playing pretend with her and letting her give the lamb "drinks" of beer. So, then she got an old bottle off the table while he wasn't looking and ended up pouring it all over the lamb. I was very upset about it, and I yelled. So, Jeff tried to wash it off in the bathroom and it has been sitting in there ever since. I think that was about 3 weeks ago. Last night we went in the bathroom to give Stella her bath, and she said "Sorry about the lamb Mama." It was so dang cute. I had Jeff come in to hear what she was saying, and she said, "Sorry about the lamb mama, it was an accident." She is the biggest sweetheart and I love her so much!

Sensitive Angel!

Stella has been so sensitive lately. I mean, she has always been sensitive, but it has just been multiplied lately. I have always considered it a good thing, I want her to be an empathetic person who is kind to others. I have multiple examples to back it up! Yesterday, Christmas, we were watching Home Alone at my parents house. At the end when the old neighbor is outside seeing his family for the first time in a while she got upset. She says, awwhhhh, and gets frowny and teary. We tried to explain to her it was happy, but she was still upset. She can tell by the music in a movie if it's a sad part. We watched Wall-e earlier and she was getting emotional about that one too.
Oh, we also were having issues with one of her Christmas Presents. She got this teddy bear that has bandaids and comes with a stethoscope and ear thermometer. So the bear talks and says "I'm ready for my check up." But when he says he has boo-boos she gets upset and cries. I am wondering if it's ok for her to be so sensitive. I don't have the first idea of what I would do to "correct" the situation, but I hope it's ok.

She has been doing super with her manners today. Usually you have to say "What do you say?" to get her to say please or thank you. But there were a few times today where she used please all by herself, and once Pretty Please! :) Do you know how dang hard it is to say no to a voluntary pretty please in a little toddler voice? Wow! She is so special.

One last sweet thing she did today, when we were watching Wall-e, the girl robot and Wall-e were hugging. Stella said, "They love each other!" It was so sweet, she is super perceptive just like me.

She also had an amazing Christmas, we all did!

Such a precious gift from God

Stella is so special and I love her so much! I just wanted to type out a few if the cure things she does. I'm afraid I will forget. Her most used phrase for at least the part couple months is, "Come back soon!" She says it to people and things, even if she's the one leaving. Another thing she says a lot they it's so sweet, "Mommy need to hold you!" She is a mommies girl, so if someone else has her and she wants me, that is what she says. A few mornings ago we were in the car and Someone like you came on the radio. It was a really neat moment to be in the car singing with my baby. She melts my heart everyday.

Growing up!

The night before last Stella fell out of her crib. It was awful! She was fine, it was just scary. After she fell I took her to bed with me, but she didn't go back to sleep. It was dark in the room and she said to me, "I don't see the moon anywhere, Do you?" It was so freaking cute!

Since she fell out, I didn't want her to be in the crib anymore. That happening one time was more than enough for me. So, I have been busting my butt to try and find a bed rail to go on the side of her crib. She slept in it last night with the one side completely open. She did pretty good. The first time she woke up, she was standing in the bed. I don't think she had realized she could get out. The second time, she was standing at the gate I put up at her door.

She is growing up so fast...

Christmas time is here!

This year Stella is really getting into Christmas. It is so much fun. She is very interested in santa and did very good when she went to see him today. She loves reading The night before Christmas, and can even read some of the lines. She is smarter by the day. Her memory is ridiculous. Not sure if I mentioned her singing the Adele song, but I will post the video. We also got an hilarious one of her with the iphone. Tonight we read I love you stinky face, I live that book. Then she was saying I love mommy, so I'd say I love Stella. Then she said, I love you mommy. My heart melted. She has said love you before but it was just so sweet the way she said it. Man I couldn't love her any more. Paw paw got her a little people nativity set and she loves it! She its going to really love Christmas just like me.

Fabulous Fall

We had great weather today! In the 60s on November 26th, crazy nice! So, I took Stella to the park down the street. I haven't taken her to the park in a while. So, she climbs up and goes to a slide. But she keeps hesitating about going down. That is unusual for her, she lives the slide. So, I keep telling her to go down the slide. I say please go down the slide and she says, "Well, Ok". With the perfect pause in between the words and everything. It was so funny. Well she did the same thing a few more times. I thought she was saying something else too but I couldn't understand her. Finally, I say Please, and she says, "Well, Ok, I'll try it." It was so dang funny, I've never heard her say that stuff before.

Songwriter & Comedian!

Stella is getting cuter and funnier by the day. She is talking nonstop and can say almost ANYTHING! She has come up with her own song, it goes like this:
One, Two, Big Fat Bewy (Belly)

It is so cute and funny. She just cracks me up all the time. Last weekend she was sleeping in our bed and she started waking up. She sat up and said, "Hey Guys!" lol It was so adorable.

She has a kitty book from Valentines Day. She can basically read the whole thing from memory. She has also memorized her first song all by herself. Someone Like You by Adele came on the radio when we were in the car. Next thing I know she is singing the chorus. I was flabbergasted! She has not heard that song all that much, just when it comes on the radio in the car. I think she also may have paid closer attention because I sing along with it. It was just mind blowing to me that she knew the words.

She has seemed to be getting into the terrible 2s lately.

Stella's latest !

Stella has started using the I need phrase a lot lately. She is very dramatic with it sometimes.  She needs, markers, to color, to eat, more crackers, more candy, more chips. She is so funny.

Last night I told her we are going to Ellie's birthday party. I asked her if she was exited. Later I said where are we going tomorrow? She wasn't sure, so I told her. Then she said, ecited? Haha

My Amazing Daughter!

Yesterday Stella was playing in a diaper box. She wanted Gizmo, aka Fatty McGee to get in with her. But she said, “You too fat?.” I am not thrilled that she says things like that. So, Jeff went and got Fatty McGee and put him in the box with her. She thought it was funny. Then she asked Fatty, “You Comfortable?” and “Do you want some water?” It was so hilarious! Apparently she is getting that from her Grammie.

I wish I could remember how long she has been spelling her name, and saying her ABC’s. I think it’s been at least 2 months.

When we read My Mommy Hung The Moon, there is a dragon at the end of the book. She has noticed that he looks sad. His head is kind of droopy, I think it’s supposed to look like the Mommy caught the dragon. So, she decided that the dragon needed medicine. When we get to that page she pretends to give him medicine. Then she says, “So nice to see you dragon.” She is so funny.

Stella and i got to hang out a lot today. I was off work. She is so hilarious and adorable. She said a million funny, smart things. She got her bangs trimmed and a shot. She cried while getting the hair cut and didn't flinch when she got the shot. That's my girl :) We also went to the zoo and the grocery.
This morning we were home and I told her I was going down stairs to do some laundry. So, I hear her talking and I can't make out what she's saying. Finally I hear her, she's saying Mommy I need help. Plain as that. So, I go running up the stairs and pick her up. She asks me what's wrong. Lol, she was just wanting needing help with her alphabet puzzle.
Then at the grocery, we had been shopping for a while, out of nowhere she says, Nice to see you mommy. It was hilarious, then she repeated it over and over. She also has memorized the Care bears theme song already. It's so cute because they sing Lala lala la, and she does that part.
Oh yes, she also is ahead of her time in another way. We were reading her Elmo ABC book this morning, she has only had it a few weeks. So, I start reading, Is A Elmo's favorite letter. She said, you skipped a page. I was like huh? Sure enough I did. Lol.
She also says her last name pretty clearly. And she will say her whole name, Stella Westenhofer. It is freaking adorable. Trying to get it on video soon!

Cute things my baby says!

Stella says so many funny, cute

things. I'm going to try and start blogging some.
We were in the car and I was giving Stella some sun chips. She was sizing off so I stopped giving them to her chips. When we got home and I got out of the car, she started crying. I went to get her out and asked her if she was sleepy. In a sad sniffly voice she said, "Need more chips." It was so funny!

She also likes the book Where the wild things are. Except she thinks the title is, Be still. Haha, it's so adorable. She'll say read be still?

18 month stats

At Stella's 18 month dr appointment on 9-16-11 she weighed 22 lbs and 14 oz. She was 31.75 inches tall. She was running a fever so she didn't get her vaccination.

Yoda

I just had to post something so cute that happened the other day. Stella and I were at Target, and they had a display of Star Wars dvds. On the side was a skinny shot of Yoda. When Stella saw it she said "toad?". It was hilarious. She is so brilliant. She can pretty much spell her name. Then when she's done she shouts STELLA! It's adorable. I love her so much, she's amazing!

Sweet heart!

My baby is such a sweetheart. She still gives amazing snuggly hugs and kisses. She is a little love bug. She is getting smarter by the minute. Last weekend we went to Erin's birthday party. That was a lot of fun! Stella was playing with Natalie, a 3 yr old. When she warmed up she said to me, Shake her hand? :) I'm still not sure how she knew that is what you do when you first meet people. It was so cute.
She also really loves money now. She loves to collect change and put it in her piggy bank. She can say "money" perfectly!

Heart melter

Stella is doing so amazing, and she'll be 18 months old tomorrow! The time has flown by! She is so big and can do so many things. She can drink from a regular cup, earlier she said a 6 word sentence. She remembers so many things, and she's like a little parrot. She can repeat anything! Oh yea her six word sentence was: Mister meow get in the water.
Last night when we were rocking to go to bed, she took her sweet little hand and put it on my cheek anf gently patted it. It was one of those moments where you just want to shout because your heart is over flowing with live and joy. Priceless.
She loves Mickey Mouse clubhouse sooo much. She also loves money, we found some change one day. Now she wants any change she sees, and we put it in her piggy bank.
I crocheted her a hat anf a matching one for her baby doll.I was hoping if the doll wore one, Stella would want to wear hers. No luck with that. But Pawpaw was coming over to see her, so to convince her to wear it I told her pawpaw wanted to see her with the hat on. She still didn't want to keep it on, but when dad got here she looked out the window and saw pawpaw and she said HAT! With urgency, because she knew he wanted to see her with the hat on! It was so adorable.
She was just drinking milk and spilled a little on the floor, and right away she said, Come here Darcie! while patting her leg. I guides she really picks up on what we do. Lol

Stella in August

Wow, I cannot believe my little baby will be 18 months in a week and a half. The time really passes you by if you're not careful! The strange thing is, I feel like she is older than 18 months. She just seems so grown up and mature. I guess I don't know what age 2 is like though. She is such a joy and a blessing. She is so smart and hilarious. She has a crazy memory and remembers things days and weeks later! That blows my mind. Usually it's things she has only heard or read a couple times. Last night I read her the book Pajama Time. The last page goes like this
It's Pajama Time
Hush, Hush
It's Pajama Time
Hush, Hush
It's Pajama Time
After we read that and Llama Llama Red Pajama I was rocking her and she kept saying Jamma Time, Hush Hush! It was so cute, it doesn't sound exactly right. She loves Llama Llama by the way, but she can't say Llama so she calls him Baby Mama. Haha!
We went to Squire Boone Caverns a few weeks ago and that was a lot of fun! We also just had girls weekend at the lake with Grammie, Aunt LuAnn and Erin. That was a blast too!

I made her a cute hat and crocheted one for her doll too. I was hoping if the doll wore one I could convince Stella to wear hers too. No dice. The most she left it on was 2 minutes. Well, Pawpaw was coming over to see her and I told her he wanted to see her wearing her new hat. That still didn't work and she kept ripping it off. So, Pawpaw pulled up out front and we looked out the door and I asked who it was. She said Pawpaw, and then looked at me and said HAT! with urgency. It was so sweet and funny because she knew he wanted to see her in the hat and she didn't have it on.
She says a bizillion words now and does mostly 3 word sentences and some 4 word sentences. She can call the cats by their nick names. Fatty McGee and Mister Meow. Sounds like Fat Mcgebee and Misour Meow. So adorable. I have not been blogging all the stuff I would like to, I am going to try to start!

Videos of Stella

Just wanted to post a couple of videos of Stella talking and being adorable!

So many words!

Stella is saying more & more words everyday! She does a whole lot of two word phrases and quite a few three word sentences. Like I have said a million times, I can't write it all down! This morning she woke up and when I went in she said Hi! Which isn't anything new, but just so sweet. Then we went in to see Daddy, he was putting his socks on. So, I asked Stella what daddy was doing. She said Put socks.

Last week I painted her toes for the first time. I was amazed she sat still. So I told her Don't touch! For the rest of the day she would show off her toes and say Mama. She would also say Ooooooh! And Don't Touch. Then after hearing it a couple times she can now say Mama paint toes.

She was pretending this morning. She ha a plastic lid that resembled a bowl and a crochet hook. She seemed to be acting like the lid was a bowl and the hook was a straw or a spoon. She was saying Mmmmm good! It's so cute, and I love it when she says Thank you very much. Thank you much is what comes out, but its so sweet. Nobody coached her to say it with the very much, she just picked that up all by herself.

Last night I read her one of her new books, My mommy Hung the moon. I think the repeat the title 2 or 3 times. By the end of the book she was saying Mama Hung moon. She is so bright, it really fits that her name means star.

She also really loves the nursery rhyme Hey diddle diddle. She loves the part about the cow jumping over the moon. We went to Borders last weekend and the have a huge cow jumping over the moon hanging from the ceiling. She really liked it. She can say Cow Jumping! With a huge emphasis on jumping!

I love her!

Kangaroo!

My little 16 month old daughter can say A THREE SYLLABLE WORD! She does leave out the g, so it's more like Kanaroo. But it is still so sweet! She is so precious and I just can't stand how cute she is! She is the most wonderful blessing! I am going to post her video tonight and a few new pictures too!

4 Word Sentences

Well, Stella is using 4 word sentences now! It doesn't seem like its been that long since she was doing 3 words. Maybe a few weeks! She said "Get in the water." Tonight when it was bath time. I also got the best video of her saying different things. It's not just that she can say so many things, but she knows what they all are. All the time she sees something and says the word out of the blue. Without coaching or anything. It's crazy. Last night we were in her room and there was a towel on the floor. She plain as day said towel. Sometimes I have to pay attention to what is around to be able to deceifer what word she is saying, but it usually sounds pretty close.
This morning she had on a new top and it was SO adorable! So, I said "Oh my gosh" a couple times because she was just so cute. Then she started saying "Oh gosh". So cute and funny!

1,2,3,4,5,6...

I totally forgot that Stella can also COUNT! To at least 6 in a row all by herself. I knew she could say the number two, because she does when you count to 3. I was counting to 3 the other day and I stopped and she kept going all the way to 6! I was like OMG! It is crazy. She has a tool bench toy at my mom's house that counts to 10 when you push the "nails". My mom said she can actually do it to 10, but I have only heard her go to 6! Either way, it's totally awesome! I just can't beleive how blessed I am to have her. She lights up every day of my life. She is so sweet and gives the best hugs and kisses. She is also so funny and I am so proud of her. There aren't words to explain how much I love her, and how much she means to me! :)

Darce!

So, I am late posting, but Stella picked up some new words last weekend! Sunday she out of no where starting saying Darce for Darcie, which she pronounces very well! She used to just call her dog! She also said Gross, after I said it. She says Nope now too, it's so cute! Oh, and when you say something is yucky she will say "Shhhhhew!" lol! She has finally started saying Sheep, since Baa was the first animal sound she learned, she really didn't learn the word Sheep. She now says it, but it sound more like Shit. Oops! She is doing so many two word phrases, Get Down, Turn Around, Bye _____. She loves to play with her animals, and she likes to get in her crib and play too. She likes to say bye to most everything, even inanimate objects. There is candy on my night stand from Easter, I only let her have it every once in a while. But she always sees it and points it out, then when we leave the room she will say Bye Candy!

She has started calling my Dad Pawp instead of Pawpaw. She used to call him Paw, and so she has moved on to adding the second P but not the whole word. It's pretty cute, so I don't know if she will call him Pawpaw or Pawp! lol

She also said Pee Pee when she woke up from her nap a few days ago. When they put her on the potty she really did pee!! I am not trying to train her hard core, but I do want her to understand it.

Oh, and a facial feature to her repertoire, Chin! :)

She is the best thing ever, and I love her so much!

Thursday, June 30, 2011

So smart!

I feel like I say it over & over, but I can't help it. She just does so many amazing things every day. This morning she put "bye" & "daddy" together all by herself. Yesterday Jack was eating a banana and I asked Stella what he was doing. She clearly said "Jack eat baah". She is also able to name things by hearing the sound they make. So, if a loud car goes by, even if we can't see it, she will say car. She's also great with dogs and airplanes!

She can say SO many words! She will just pick them up after hearing them once. When she is in the bath tub she has a big cup with a handle, and a little "cup" that is really a shaving cream lid. She can hold the little cup and take the big one and pour water into the little cup.

She had taken the lid off Daddy's blue highlighter and decided to taste it!

Oh yeah, I can't remember if I already talked about this, but she can name and point out facial features. She says them all really well, and gets Hair, Ears, Mouth, Teeth, and Eyes right every time. Sometimes she will point to a mouth when she says Nose, but she usually gets it right. I wish I could remember every word and every cute thing she says. I will upload photos soon, been slacking on that!

This morning she was doing more word combinations, Sit Down and Silly Dog. She has said Sit Down before (sit sounds more like shit). Oh yea, and she is usually very clingy to me over her Daddy. But I had to wash my hair this morning and she woke up 30 minutes early at 6 a.m. So, I took her into our room, and told her she was going to lay down and sleep with Daddy. I thought I would just lay her down and she would cry and say Mom. But she did the exact opposite, she said Bye Mom, and went back to sleep!!!!! Haha, I was like what, huh?!?

She has really perfected her "Fish Face"!

Go Away!

Ahh my little baby is getting so big, and so smart! I love her to pieces! She is picking up new things left & right. When she was at my parents house last week, she was sitting with my dad and the cats were there. My dad told the cats to "Go Away!". He said it 2 times at the most, and Stella picked it up right away! She is not saying it in contex yet, it's actually the only thing she doesn't say in context. But she says it over and over and over! It is so funny, and hard not to laugh. We are trying not to acknowledge it so she doesn't start saying it on purpose, and all the time! She is good enough at "No", I am not ready for "Go Away!". lol

She has mastered some more animal sounds, these are the ones she does:
Sheep - Baa (she has been doing that one for months!)
Cow - Moo (sounds more like Mmmmmmm)
Duck - Quack (sounds like ack)
Snake - Ssssss
Bear - Grrr
Goose - Honk
Donkey - HeeHaw (she just does the Hee right now)
Rooster - Cock-a-doodle-do (so far she just does cock)
Puppy Dog - Bow Wow ( this is my favorite :)
Kitty - Meow Meow
Chick - Peep
Puffer Fish - Phfft (Like blowing air out your mouth)
Horse - Neigh
Owl - Who

There are probably a couple I forgot! She is just so bright and amazing. I am beyond blessed!

Outta Control!

Stella is so funny! She is totally into the copy cat phase now. She doesn't repeat everything yet, just certain ones. So, I was changing her diaper and I burped. I said excuse me, that burp was out of control! All of a sudden she says Control! I was like wow, so I repeated the phrase and she said it too. Sounds more like Outa-troll but it's so funny! Then later I am trying to get her to take a nap, rocking her and she starts saying Outta-Troll, Outta-Troll! OMG it was so hard not to laugh.

She also started calling me Mom this week. She will ask for me now which is so sweet.

My little lady!

Stella is getting so big! I am so sad I don't have more time to blog. I really need to make time! She does so many things every day. The other night I was rocking her for bed and I don't remember why, but she laughed and rolled her eyes! She is doing pretty good eating regular food, we've been doing that for about a month or two. She refuses to eat ANY vegetables, I have tried everything! I have found two ways to get her to, making spinach nuggets & putting mustard on the veggies. She loves mustard, she gets that from me! She really likes things that are sour like lemons and pickles. She has also does something really cute when I play Words With Friends. If you shake the phone the letters rearrange, and make a bubbly sound, Stella will shake her head back and forth.

She still LOVES books, and she is saying quite a few words now. I am making up a list and will post it soon! She is so smart, she will get my keys and go to the door, she even knows which key goes to the door and puts it up to the handle. She is 15 months now, so its only been a month since she started walking, but she is a pro at it! She is even really good with stairs. She can do itsy bitsy spider hand motions when I sing the song. She has such a great personality, and she is so funny!

She loves books, her favorites are:

The Lion's Paw, Wherever You Are, On The Night You Were Born, Knuffle Bunny, Little Blue Truck, Time For Bed, Where The Wild Things Are

Knuffle Bunny is a really good book, it's so cute! There is a part in the book where the 2 year old is mad because she lost her bunny. So, Trixie (the girl in the book), is yelling at her daddy in toddler babble. She says, AGGLE PLAGGLE FLABBLE! Wumpy Flappy! Snurp! Everytime I read that part Stella says "Yea!". It's so cute and funny, like she totally agrees with Trixie. Ahh I love her so much!

Here are some recent pictures!

Mmmm Watermelon!
